The Data We DO NOT Collect
Unlike traditional social media platforms, AnonX is engineered to function without knowing who you are. To use the core interactive features of our platform, we do not ask for, collect, or store:
- Your real name or physical address.
- Your email address or phone number (unless voluntarily provided for community administration or beta access).
- Your contacts, address book, or social graph.
- Cross-site tracking data via third-party pixels or cookies.
The Data We DO Collect
We only collect the absolute minimum data required to make the platform function properly and securely:
- Your anonID: A cryptographically generated, persistent pseudonym used to track your karma, posts, and community memberships within the platform.
- Platform Content: The text, images, and votes you submit to communities.
- Security Logs: Temporary server logs (including IP addresses) used exclusively by Cloudflare and our security infrastructure to prevent DDoS attacks, spam, and botnets. These logs are routinely purged and never tied to your anonID behavioral profile.
- Beta Telemetry: If you are participating in our Closed Beta, we temporarily collect diagnostic data, crash reports, and performance metrics to identify bugs.
How We Monetize Without Tracking
AnonX relies on a Contextual Advertising Framework. Advertisements on our platform are targeted based solely on the community or topic you are currently viewing—not on your identity, browsing history, or behavioral profile. We do not use tracking pixels, we do not sell your data to data brokers, and advertisers never receive your personal information or anonID.
Law Enforcement & Subpoenas
Because we do not connect your anonID to personally identifiable information (PII) like names or emails, we cannot provide what we do not have. If we receive a valid, legally binding subpoena or court order requesting user data, we will comply with the law, but we can only surrender the siloed data associated with an anonID (e.g., post history and karma). We do not possess the architectural capability to unmask your real-world identity.
Exception: AnonX enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Any detection of CSAM will result in the immediate preservation of all available metadata and reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement.
